भोजपुरी सिनेमांना कर सवलत देण्याच्या शिवसेनेचा विचार रद्द्

शिवसेनेने भोजपुरी सिनेमांना कर सवलत देण्याच्या स्वतःच्या भूमिकेपासून फारकत घेतली आहे. भोजपुरी सिनेमांच्या सिनेमागृहातील प्रदर्शनावरील करात सवलत मिळावी, यासाठी शिवसेनेने पालिकेत ठराव मांडला होता. हा ठराव पालिकेने 20 मार्च रोजी समंत केला होता. परंतु राज ठाकरे यांनी चालू केलेल्या आंदोलनाला मराठी भाषिकांचा चांगला प्रतिसाद मिळत असल्यामुळे राजकीय उद्दिष्ट लक्षात घेता महापालिकेत सत्तारुढ पक्ष असलेल्या शिवसेनेने दबाव तंत्राचा वापर करुन ही योजना बासनात गुंडाळली.

'संस्कृती'विरोधातील आक्रमण रोखण्यासाठी तिबेटी जनतेने सुरू केलेले आंदोलन रणगाड्यांच्या चाकांखाली व बंदुकीच्या नळीच्या टोकावर चिरडून टाकू, अशी दपोर्क्ती चीनने रविवारी केली. संपूर्ण जग चीनला सबुरीचा सल्ला देण्यासाठी सरसावले असताना 'लोकयुद्धा'चे लेबल लावत चीनने तिबेटी भूमिपुत्रांविरोधात युद्धच पुकारले आहे.

"चिनी राजवटीकडून तिबेटमध्ये सांस्कृतिक कत्तल सुरू झाली आहे. दहशतीच्या बळावर ते शांतता लादू पाहत आहे. त्यामुळे मान्यवर आंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थांमार्फत तिबेटमधील चिनी दडपशाहीची चौकशी झाली पाहिजे,'' अशी मागणी तिबेटचे धर्मगुरू दलाई लामा यांनी रविवारी केली. " हे आंदोलन थांबविण्याची शक्ती माझ्यामध्ये नाही,'' असेही त्यांनी स्पष्ट केले.

The Chinese aggression is yet again in limelight. It is a pity that nobody in the world is concerned about the 'son of soil' Tibetans been harassed and butchered. The news only flashes when few people are killed, but the Chinese aggression which in turn is changing the demography of Tibet, is going on since 1950. The Dalai Lama had also voiced his concerns few days back that a "demographic aggression" by the Han Chinese will make autonomy for his homeland meaningless. It is noted that India is home to more than 100,000 Tibetans, many of whom fled their homeland along with the Dalai Lama in 1959. The Dalai Lama, head of six million Tibetans, has a government-in-exile that is based in the Indian hill town of Dharamshala.

If world can recognise "East Timor" and "Kosovo", why not support the Tibetan for the legitimate cause of autonomy. The European Union and the United States have both called on China to act with restraint. The White House called on China to “respect Tibetan culture” and issued a renewed call for dialogue between Beijing and the Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism. But mere "lip service" will not help. The world needs to act and act soon.

India should give a strong signal to China and put more pressure on the International community. The exiled tibetans in India had the "March" and "protests" in India. Its now the Government of India to condemn the "cultural repression" and lodge the concerns in strongest possible words.
